Gross Stories is a board game modeling the New Economic system of ‘grocery store supply chain.’ The name itself demonstrates the stories behind the whole system, both the ugly truth - from the beginning of the production through the manufacture, the logistic, the grocery stores, the consumer, and to the landfill, and the financial drive.

Approach.
Starting from understanding the different decay aspects of the grocery store in the 21st century, we unwind the system and create a mapping to display the system, using the modular technique to allow team members to equally collaborate along the process. There, we see the multiple approaches the system can make and the development of possible solutions. Then, we develop the model that creates awareness and education with some fun.
The game allows players to understand the ecosystem, learn about decay, and maintain balance. We improve the monopoly to our own version, regarding the financial and business making aspects. New currency and rules are set. It is a game where you can win morally or adopt unethical practices. The choice is yours.

Each player has to keep balance in the whole grocery store ecosystem: Farm, Factory, Warehouse, Stores, by owning at least one property in each category before expanding the business and having control over the food supply chain.
The shopping basket and shopping cart you get from the Co-Operative define the power you will have in the grocery store or on the aisles.
Moreover, Gross Stories gives the gimmick of how each player defines value by adding value coins to the set. Since running a business nowadays isn’t only measured by how much money you make and how good you have done to society. Besides drawing the decider card, the game initiates a collaborative decision on the winner that each player will decide at the end. It shows how each player defines today’s business world.
